The investment was revealed during a YTL UK event in London, attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Dan Norris, Mayor of the West of England. Norris also outlined plans to fast-track the development of the Brabazon rail station, which is scheduled to open in 2026.
The development will also provide 2,000 student accommodation units, three new schools, a research campus for higher education, laboratories, and more than 80 acres of public space. This will encompass up to three million square feet of commercial space, as well as the largest new public park in the South West in over 50 years.
The project will include the construction of 6,500 new homes, with 1,700 designated as affordable. Bringing much needed homes to the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area.
